Bill Jurney has recorded thousands of voice-overs for clients like CNN, Disney, Miramax, Roadside Attractions, Wal-mart, Petco, Brake Check, Farmer’s Insurance, Baha’i Media, Reader’s Digest and The Ronald Reagan Museum. He started his 20 + year voice-over career after working in radio in the Carolinas and Atlanta as a writer/producer and deejay (WKZL, WMAG, B98.5 FM and Star 94 FM). Bill spent five years as staff promo announcer for CNN Headline News in Atlanta where he received a Gold Addy Award for Turner Broadcasting. He lived in NYC for eight years where he pursued voice acting and his own audio production business. Bill has been voicing trailers, promos, and other projects from his Los Angeles home studio (and other studios) since 2001.  Bill spends much of his time studying with top coaches, attending conferences and coaching and mentoring up-and-coming voice actors. He often lends his voice to charitable causes and student projects. When not behind the mic, Bill spends time with family and friends, reading, enjoying the outdoors, fishing and watching films; he is  also active in The Baha’i Faith (www.bahai.org).”The Bill Jurney Voice-Over Scholarship” contributes toward the training of voice actors from disadvantaged backgrounds.
